Yin Yoga Weekend

Lotos Yoga Berlin Academy is happy to announce the next Yoga Teacher Training Modules on Teaching Yin Yoga and applying TCM elements to the practice 23th + 24th April 2022.

23th + 24th April 2022 Saturday & Sunday 9:00 bis 18:00

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga has been around for centuries, for as long as hatha yoga has been practiced. Yin is the soft and calming part of the practice. During the last century, yoga has become more dynamic and yang-like – active, warming, muscular, challenging, and sweaty. Yin yoga is the other half of the practice, the slow, grounding, and sometimes also challenging stillness.

In yin yoga we take our time, investigating the presence, our bodies, our breath and sometimes our thoughts. This leads to a greater awareness of what is happening and can help us make appropriate decisions.

During slow movements and stillness, we start to feel our bodies more and we can begin to notice the resistance. By using shapes adapted to the individual body, we practice in a safe way to stimulate and reach tissues in the body. All tissues in our bodies need exercise and yin yoga targets some of the deeper layers of connective tissue – fascia, ligaments, bones and joints.

In this yin yoga-training you are invited to learn the techniques of yin yoga for deepening your practice and to allow you to guide others in yin. You´ll learn the concept of functional anatomy and how to distinguish between tension/compression, which will give you an understanding for how to practice and teach yoga in a safe way and how to create yin yoga classes for student’s individual needs.

Yoga Nidra Stretch

Training structure

This training is running over a weekend, Saturday and Sunday, with full days. We will begin every morning with a yin practice, followed by theoretical and practical workshops, and at the end of the day we will finish with a practice.
The training is designed for students who want to deepen their practice and that have already been practicing yoga for at least one year. Experience in yin yoga is not necessary. You do not have to be a yoga teacher, or have a goal of becoming one, you just need passion for yoga.

You´ll receive a manual and a certificate of completion.
