When did you start with yoga and how long have you been practicing?

I started with yoga in 2010 and I have never stopped practicing. It changed my life in many positive ways: I became stronger, healthier, more focused and stable.

Why is yoga important in your life?

Over the years yoga has gradually became a lifestyle for me. It helps me stay mentally and physically healthy.

What advice would you give to someone who is starting their yoga journey?

Try to be consistent with your daily/weekly practice!

How do you include yoga in your daily life?

Apart from my daily yoga practice (asanas and pranayama, normally the first thing I do in the morning after waking up), I include yoga in my way of eating, thinking and reacting to the events of life. Especially after my teacher training course in India I have noticed a significant change in my life.

What can I expect when I join one of your classes?

I’ve studied Hatha Yoga in Rishikesh, so my style is pretty close to this classical kind of yoga. In some classes I like to introduce some more dynamic sequences, especially during the sun salutations and the standing asanas. I also include the practice of pranayama sometimes. I always try to give the right rhythm to the lessons, balancing the attention between the initial warm-up, the central more dynamic sequence and the final relaxation.

What is your favorite asana?

Baddha Hasta Uttanasana (Dangling pose). I find it great at the beginning of the practice. It gives you so many benefits! Just to mention some physical ones: it stretches the spine and the shoulders, loosens the hamstrings, activates our stomach and massages the abdominal muscles,.
